Other than it being Thiago's Birthday today, I also received an email from Caralea Valley apartments. We have an apartment waiting for us, move in date: May 1st. So exciting.
Another chapter of our live is about to being.

Life is sure getting hectic
Life is getting hectic right now. Between leaving for Brazil on the 16th, packing our stuff to move :-D and work travel wise.
We started filling out the apartment application and are going to mail it Monday ... so fingers crossed there :-D I have been packing about 2 boxes a night between Chicopee and my parents house in West Springfield. Lets just say I am also doing A LOT of cleaning at my parents house which they will love. I'll probably be going over there tomorrow night to finish up so my room isn't a disaster when my parents get back from Brazil.
We got a text message from them this morning staying they were in Brazil - phew! The should be on the ship now relaxing and enjoying themselves. Thinking about them on the cruise ship makes me think about when we went in 2009 on the cruise - they stopping at one more port than us.
Wednesday can't come soon enough - well Thursday when we are actually in Brazil at like 6am haha. About 4am in the USA :-p

NC apartment search cont.
Today is the day I fly home.. I'm gonna miss the nice weather but the 5 days I have been here looking at apartments 3 days have been very successful. I have found 2 apartments I would like to live in but still need to go over everything with Thiago.
In total I have checked out 8 apartments.
Tuesday I checked out Crestview (I found this one on criagslist)
Crestview is owned by the same company was Hunterville but is newer. This apartment is just 1 floor, but has a gas stove.
2 floors, basic units but spacious. Kitchen appliances are newer looking than Hunterville. Everything else is basically the same.
Crestview and Caraleah are in walking distance of each other (a pretty long walk that have to par take over 1 mile), pretty funny hehe.
New apartment updates will follow...

North Carolina
Last night I arrived at CLT and got a rental car to check into my hotel. I was exhausted after a long 2 weeks of work.
Today was a busy busy day. I looked at 4 apartments and left messages at 4 other places in hopes to look at more apartments Monday and Tuesday. Out of the 4 place 2 really fit into our price range. The spreadsheet I have created keeps growing with all the information I gathered.
Today I looked in Huntersville, Charlotte and Concord. I really like Concord. Thiago is trusting me with my word and findings with the search.
The weather was pretty yucky today and I did a lot of driving.. more back and forth than anything. I hope tomorrow will be a better day (but it is suppose to rain 2-4 inches) so I can do some more driving around... we will see.
Apparently apartments don't come with microwaves.. lol FYI

Halton Park - Charlotte
3 floors and basically anything you want - pool, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball court, cafe and theater.
Huntersville Apartment Homes - Huntersville
2 floors, basic units but spacious, big area to walk around, complex is in a rural area. Kitchen appliances are out dated but it has a dishwasher :)
Mission Concord Place - Concord
3 Floors, and basically anything you want - pool, fitness center, tennis courts, basketball court and business center.

Town house style. Pool, fitness area, complex is in a rural area, play ground. Very nice set up, kitchen appliances are out dated but it has a dishwasher :) The walls between your unit and neighbor's has 2 walls and thick insulation so it's more private.

the real search begins
That's right the real search is about to begin. The search I am talking about it an apartment search in NC. Since I am not needed next week on site and was going to have a layover in NC on friday I decided to extend my stay. I will be in NC Friday to Wednesday. The plane ticket has been changed & extended, rental car booked, hotel booked and emails sent out to the apartment complex's. I feel a little better knowing I will be taking time to do this but I am nervous since I have not appointments lined up but I literally just sent them out an hour ago.
I guess happy hunting come Saturday to Wednesday.
Oh ya this should be interesting, I am not taking time off from work but I mentioned to Bill and Wayne my idea's and they have no problem with it... so they say.
