Viviane Comes to Visit

Thiago's cousin from Brasil came to visit us, she was here from June 22 - 27. She arrived while I was out of town for work but I was able to spend time with her Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We were planning on going to the beach in SC but instead we hung out around Concord/Charlotte. While she was here we went to the Zoo, the mall many times and ate out.

  Zootastic was awesome. We saw so many animails and got to feed them.

I passed an exam :)

After a week of non-stop studying I passed my Cisco Data Center Unified Computing Support Specialist exam. I finally have 1 certification under my belt. Bring on the rest!!

In Laws

We are currently skyping with the in laws. Its so great. Lucca is growing up so fast. Already waving hi and bye and blowing kisses.

Can't wait for Melina, Daniel and Lucca to visit in Sept and I miss everyone else dearly.

car's aren't cheap!

Today we finally went to the DMV and had the proper paerwork to get our cars registried in the state of NC. After a million questions were asked and answer we found out how much it would cost. Thiago and I walked in there thinking it would cost like $100 tops and we thought we were thinking too much, well WRONG.

For my 2007 escape and his 2001 passat it was over $400 - nasty. But good thing Thiago was thinking (hehe). Since he got the Full Time Crossmark job he will get a company car and he is planning on selling his car so for just my car it was a little over $200, still a nasty price but now my car is registered in NC and I have a NC license plate :) so exiting.. lol. Also I don't have to get my car inspected until next year when I renew my registration which is good because I probably need to fix my ABS and that gives me a year to get that straightened out.

Thank god for internet

Obviously we all know how great the Internet is but now we have cable Internet and in Chicopee we had DSL. Both are totally better than dial up but cable is so much faster and for the same price.

Thiago usually spends his evenings playing poker online with his friends all over the world - Brazil & Japan mostly. Talking to his family is great, we all use Skype and with the pretty decent web cam Thiago's laptop has built in makes it easy. No more web cam sitting on the laptop and worrying it will not work correctly. It great when I can say hi to his family and talk to Diego who is improving his english and I am trying to convince him to come stay with us for a couple weeks when he can.

Oh I can't wait for Melina, Daniel and Lucca to come visit. They will be here Sept 26th to Oct 5th or something. I would love to go to Myrtle Beach and maybe Wet 'N Wild and who knows what else.

Mary Kay

Today I ordered my first Mary Kay order. It was pretty cool -  I am SO excited. I didn't order the account to get $150 worth of free products because I would of had to order $600 worth of products and I am not ready for that big of a commitment.

So I order items I knew friends and family wanted. I know I didn't get everything everyone wanted so they will just have to order from my website. Ugh ProPay better get validated soon so people can start ordering off the website.

If anyone wants free samples or a catalog to have let me know and I will send you one.

So the order I place I warned Thiago about the size of the order and that it maybe in a big box. I will not be home the week it is delivered.

The guest  room/ office has been offically taken over by me. L7 Technology Partners "crap" and Mary Kay products.

Hopefully I will begin to sell more products to people around here and I will get more into it, for now I am just taking it day by day and taking friend and family orders. I do plan to attend a couple of the monthly meetings Mary Kay has. I did attend one in Chicopee with Marissa which was pretty cool but I wasn't in the Mary Kay mind set so I am curious what I will think of the meeting now what I am a consultant.

Hair everywhere...

Jane is losing her winter coat so that means she sheds 24/7 times a million. I feel like we are brushing her 10 times a week never mind vacuuming. Thank goodness we bought the pet shark vacuum hehe.

We still love her. Last weekend we treated her like our princess.. She got a new litter box which is enclosed.. more privacy for her since the only place for the litter box is in the kitchen. We don't want her upstairs because she has accidents sometimes (she hasn't had any in a couple weeks) and we don't want her to ruin any of our comforters (haha we all know what our old one looked like). Jane has been good about not coming upstairs, the baby gate worked for a bit until it was a pain to keep taking it down just to go down stairs. Thiago trained her well, when she went upstairs he would just carry her down like her mother would carry her. I have had to do the same a couple times, I have woken up with her up stairs. When she would come up stairs her face would be funny.. it reminded me of what I would look like when I did something I shouldn't when I was younger but wanted to get my parents attention.

Jane is back to being a Daddy's girl. She is always with Thiago when he is down stairs. It must be because he has been home a lot lately. I am sure when we are both working she will be lost but when I am home I can keep her company and work from the living room.

Isn't it funny how we talk about our pets as if they were our children?! We already have our baby for now hehe.

Prayers and Throughts to the people effected by last night's tornado's

I still can't believe it.... I just saw footage on Good Morning America from Springfield. Its so sad.

Tornado's in Massachusetts

WOW!!! Who would of thought tornado's would hit Western Mass?!? Reports on a tornado touching down in springfield and making its way through parts of west springfield and westfield. Luckly all of my family and friends are safe.

Places have opened to shelter people who have lost everything.

Looking at photo's people have posted are un-real... never would I think Mass would get hit with a tornado.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who has been effected...

Independent Beauty Consultant

I have decided to become a  Mary Kay Independent Beauty Consultant. I just ordered my starter kit :-) I am so excited.

I love Mary Kay products and I have decided to share my experience with other women. Other than sharing my experience about the products with others I also hope this will help me meet new people in this area.

Someone has a new job...

Thiago has a new job. Well as of June 10th Thiago will be a Full Time Reail Rep. He will be in charge of 200 stores in the Charlotte area. Instea of working with all different company brands he will be working with KRAFT.

Oh maybe our cabinets will be filled with Kraft products now... hehe YUM!

Crockpot Challenge

I know the winter months are over and it’s basically summer time but to me this challenge is still in full effect… okay maybe not full effect. But just because it is summer doesn’t mean I have to stop using the Crockpot. Last week I made Thiago’s favorite Cheesy Chicken. Not sure what the next meal is on the menu but I will make sure to blog about it.
